Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why is it important to learn another language?
There has been research conducted which shows that learning another language helps with:
Improved Brain Function: Language learning strengthens memory, problem-solving skills, and overall cognitive flexibility.
Enhanced Multitasking: Bilingual individuals often show better ability to switch between tasks and manage complex information.
It is also much easier for children to learn a new language when it’s introduced early and seamlessly integrated into their daily curriculum, rather than waiting until they are older and taking separate, specialized classes. Early exposure helps language skills develop naturally and fosters greater fluency over time.
2. Is traditional or simplified Chinese used?
We believe in starting to teach traditional Chinese to build the children's Chinese foundation.
3. Can I enroll my children into the preschool if we do not have a Chinese background?
Absolutely! Everyone is welcome to join our preschool, regardless of background. Your child will have the opportunity to be fully immersed in a Chinese-language environment and enjoy learning a new language in a supportive and inclusive setting.
4. How many students are in a class? What is the teacher-student ratio?
We are currently accepting up to six students per classroom, ensuring a low teacher-to-student ratio of approximately 1:4 to 1:6. Each class will be led by an experienced lead teacher, with the possibility of additional support from a part-time teacher to further enhance the learning experience.
5. What is your teaching philosophy?
We have experience with a variety of play-based and classroom learning environments, and we recognize that each teaching style offers unique benefits.
Classroom based education encourages independence, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning by allowing children to explore at their own pace within a carefully prepared environment. This child-led approach helps students build confidence and develop essential problem-solving skills.
Play-based learning and empowers children to guide their own educational journeys based on their interests, passions, and observations. This approach fosters a strong sense of community and collaboration through project-based activities, encouraging children to take pride in their learning and to remain curious, engaged, and motivated to explore alongside with other children.
